Christmas Night

We ended our Christmas day back in Tupelo with Grandma and Pop waiting on us. What a great welcome home! And Morgan was ready for round 2 of presents! I was very thankful that Sam and Sissy came to us to spend the day. It is always nice to be able to cut hours from your trip! They were there when we got home and already had dinner started- how great is that! We opened presents there and then had a great meal. The perfect end to the perfect day!

Christmas Morning

We started Christmas morning in Murray with Morgan waking up to see what Santa left for her! This year has been very fun because Morgan is starting to get what all the fuss is about. And she loves opening a present! We woke up, opened Santa and stockings, had a wonderful breakfast that Mom made and then continued with more presents! What a way to start the day! The morning didn't quite feel complete though because Grandma was not there. We were so sad that she got sick this week and didn't want to spread the germs to Morgan. We missed her so much! But she was there is spirit for sure!

Christmas Eve

One of my favorite Christmas traditions in Murray is our Christmas Eve service at our church. It is always incredibly beautiful and ends with the congregation singing "Silent Night" while we each hold a lit candle in a dark sanctuary. It's very moving and really gets you in the right mind for the next day. Again, it did not disappoint! These are some pictures we took after the service.

Family Dinner

We spent a few days in Murray to celebrate Christmas with my family. On our first night there we continued a wonderful tradition of having dinner with the Schwettman and Williams families. As the years pass, it's harder and harder to get all the children there at once and this year was no exception. While we did miss Austin, it was great to spend time with everyone again. We always have a ton of fun together and get to eat some great food!

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice came to Tupelo this past week. Since Morgan is absolutely in love with Mickey and his clubhouse friends, we knew we had to go. I was kinda worried how she could handle the long show (it was almost 2 hours), but she did amazing! When we walked in her eyes got so big when she saw the ice and the castle. Once it got going she was dancing, laughing and clapping! It was so fun to watch her watch the show. She even loved the parts from movies she hasn't seen yet. It was a great show that we all three enjoyed!

Lady Antebellum Concert

Last weekend we went to Murray to see Lady Antebellum in concert! They played at the basketball arena there and Dad got us tickets. They were amazing!! They even sang some Christmas songs to be festive. Mom and Dad have seen them now three times, but this was just our first. Please excuse the bad pictures. Apparently you can't take a big camera like mine into their concerts. Who knew? So this is the best I could get on my phone.

Christmas Card 2011

As always I have great big plans for our Christmas card. And, as always, I wait too long for them to be realized! So this year when it hit me that I should be getting moving on them, it was too late for a family picture. So once again it just stars Morgan- which isn't too bad! She might be the cutest Christmas thing you've ever seen. Morgan and I tried for a picture in the morning, but I definitely needed help with this active 2 year old! So we waited until Jeff came home to help. We finally got a card-worthy pic! Enjoy some of our other attempts!

Tanner & Avie's Birthday Party

Last weekend Morgan and I went to Hernando for Tanner and Avie's birthday party! We had a great time and the girls were so cute in their outfits fit for the princesses they are! At our princess party Morgan jumped and slid in the bounce castle, ran around the back yard, played in Tanner's room and ate cake. What a happy day! My girl loves birthday cake. She woke up that morning talking about it. She was ready! And after we sang and blew out the candles, she decided to help herself to Avie's cake. Sweet Avie was willing to share, thankfully. It was a great day and I had one tired girl who slept the whole way home!
