A Perfect Day

I don't know if I've ever said this, but I love fall.  I love everything about it.  I love that it's cooling down outside and Morgan and I can play all the time.  I love getting to wear jeans and boots and not sweat to death.  And I love love LOVE football season.  And it warms my heart to know that my daughter loves it as much as I do.  We spent another wonderful day in Starkville this weekend.  It was kind of different for us because our tailgate group couldn't make it for one reason or another.  So we didn't tailgate at all!  It was sad at first, but then we had a completely different gameday experience and it was great.

Morgan woke up Saturday morning begging to put on her new dress RoRo made her and get in the car!  We had to tell her to calm down, we were going soon!  When we got there we stopped by to give Holly a birthday happy and met up with our only other lone tailgate member, Hollis.  He ended up having some extra tickets to the box so we got to watch the game in style!  Morgan was on her best behavior.  I think she knew this was special.  She sat in her chair most of the game and cheered and ate!  Her favorite part (and mine) of the game was our half time delivery of ice cream!  For those that don't know, Mississippi State is a dairy school and we make our own very yummy ice cream on campus.  I'm an expert you know- I worked in the Food Science office for all four years of my time there as a student!  We got the Bulldogs another win and went home happy and tired!

A busy busy week...

Last week was a crazy week!  I had a busy week at work so Sissy came to help me tote Morgan around town for a few days.  After Morgan was thoroughly spoiled by her GaGa, her RoRo and Packe came to visit for the weekend!  And we were all so busy having fun that I didn't take one single picture.  Can you believe it?  I'm starting to slip...

Another W!

Our last game was huge for us... we beat Auburn!  It was very exciting and even better because Kathryn and James got to sit with us!  They come every Auburn game with their sweet friends from Birmingham (who were gracious losers by the way!) so they all four joined us.  It was great to visit with them.  We had a 11:00am kickoff so we decided not to tailgate before the game.  Michelle and Garett invited us and the Hulett's to their home after the game and we "tailgated" there.  Garett grilled out for us and we watched some football.  It was perfect!  The highlight of the night was when Morgan wanted to join the boys outside while they were playing football.  She was loving it!  Of course she wouldn't put down her stuffed animal while she played, but oh well!

 They had too much fun!
Morgan LOVES Sam!  She truly loves all animals and begs to get close to every dog she sees.  But when they are close enough to touch she runs away.  It's funny.  She does this with the smallest dogs too!  But with Sam, who is twice her size, she has always loved him!  She hugs him and lets him kiss her.  It's very sweet to watch.

Another School Year Begins

Yesterday was Morgan's first day of school this year.  And she was so excited!  Every morning since we went to the Open House last week she has woken up asking to go.  This year she is in the older 2 year old classroom.  Her teachers are Mrs. Melissa and Mrs. Ramey.  They are really sweet and I think Morgan is in for a big year!  She has many of the same kids in her class that she had last year so she was excited.  My baby is getting so big!  I swear tomorrow I am going to wake up and she'll be leaving for college!

It's Finally Here!

Football season is here...finally!  We, as a family, enjoy our Saturdays at Mississippi State so much.  Morgan was thrilled to be there.  We had a night game so we got to tailgate all day long.  We got there about noon and when Morgan had to use the restroom (which we did about 5 million times that day) she got her first real glimpse of the stadium.  She actually gasped and said, "Mom look!  It's my game!"  I don't think Jeff had been more proud in his lifetime.  From then on she was ready to go to "her game".  Sadly I didn't get many pictures.  We were having too much fun!  It was hot as blazes all day, but it was perfect come kickoff.  We played Jackson State and LOVED watching the Sonic Boom!  (That may have been my favorite part of the day.)  Morgan took a quick nap during the 3rd quarter and then we cheered on our Dawgs to a victory!  1-0!

 And so it begins...
