We Can't Stay Away from Starkville

This year we decided to take our Chi O Christmas on the road!  In stead of going to each other's homes we all spent the weekend in Starkville!  It was a great lazy weekend catching up, shopping and eating way too much.  These girls are good for my soul!  I'm so thankful we all make this weekend a priority every year.  And it was the first time in a long time that none of us were pregnant!  Ha!

The next weekend I made it back to Starkville.  We took the girls to a women's basketball game and had the best time!  Never would I thought I would see the day when Jeff Leddy was excited to watch women's basketball.  But our team is ranked #4 and is awesome!  And it's always a good day to beat Ole Miss!

New Year in Foley

We have begun a tradition that I love so very much.  After Christmas Jeff is able to take off the last week of the year so we all head to Mom and Dad's house.  It is the perfect week of relaxation and let's us reset ourselves for the beginning of a new year.  We usually have no plan and end up with our toes in the sand at some point.  And as usual Mom and Dad spoil all of us rotten which is awesome!
 Happy girls
 So beautiful

A Christmas for the Books

I'm not sure who was more excited for Christmas morning- the girls or me!  On Christmas Eve Jeff and I pushed the furniture in our living room back to make room for the madness that was about to happen.  My little living room was full with such love, many people and tons of presents!  When the girls woke up we let everyone know we were ready to go.  Once everyone arrived we let the girls open their Santa gifts and all of our stockings before we took a breakfast break.  Then back to presents!  What a fun morning we had!

But the moment I really stood in awe?  Clean up!  My goodness this crew is welcome to destroy my house anytime.  Because the Bobby-led clean up was amazing!  We were moving furniture to clean underneath, you could have eaten off the floor it was so clean, and I'm not sure my stove has been so clean since we moved in.  Amazing!  Haha!

The rest of the day was spent playing with the girls and enjoying being together as a family on the birth of our Savior.  I'm so thankful for all the love that fills our world and that God gave us such a wonderful family.  The weekend was the perfect way to celebrate.

My Favorite Day

This year I was extra excited for my favorite time of year.  A few months prior Carrie made a suggestion to have everyone come to Tupelo for Christmas.  She wanted to see the magic.  And oh magical it was!  I was thrilled when everyone was on board!  Both Morgan and Macie are smack dab in the middle of the magic and I love every second.  So everyone came to be witness.  Christmas Eve was spent with each other.  Just celebrating in the season and family.  We did church and then a Leddy tradition of fried oysters for dinner.  It was the perfect prelude to Christmas.
I can't describe how happy this really full mantle makes me

A Trip to the North Pole

This year we made an extra special memory with a trip on the Polar Express.  It was amazing!  GaGa and Pop gave us the tickets for an early Christmas gift.  When we finally told the girls they were both so excited.  Morgan loves the book and was ready to ride.  Macie was so excited for the train.  A quick drive to Batesville (with a pit stop to clean up a mess) and we were there!  We got our tickets and found our car.  Our train took us out to the North Pole and entertained us the whole way!  It was such a great memory!

Santa came by to see us!  Macie was really excited to see him but refused a picture.
He gave the girls a silver bell.  Morgan asked where it came from and he told her from Comet's harness.  She was thrilled!

We loved our trip!

PS- On our way home we stopped in Oxford for dinner.  And somehow, someway, we lost Macie's paci!  We just told her she left it on the train. And yes, we had more at home, but we didn't tell.  And just like that, Macie gave up her paci.  Big day!

The Sun Will Come Out...

This year Belinda had the best idea for a Christmas gift for the girls.  It was a trip to Memphis to see Annie!  We also were able to celebrate Emma Kate's birthday.  It was perfect!  We spent the night downtown and the girls we so excited.  It was Macie's first time to see a play and she did so well!  Like her big sister, she loved every second.  The girls weren't too familiar with the story, but they loved it.  Now they watch the movie at home all the time, singing along every word.  We had such big fun!
