These ladies set up camp by our tent one day. We found them passed out cold. Belinda and I were so impressed. I want to be just like them when I grow up!!!!

Beachin' it with the Worleys!
Last week Morgan and I continued what has become a super fun tradition- beach time with the Worley girls! Again, Grandma opened her home to house us four crazy girls and we were so thankful. We had a great time getting to spend time on the beach, eat yummy food and get to just spend time together. After our crazy summers, it was nice to catch up.

We headed down to the beach on our first day there and found the worst sea weed ever! It had been so long since I have seen that much sea weed in the water. There was a huge storm the night before that churned it all up. But the bright side was that there were huge waves! We brought the boogie board and Emma Kate had a blast! It was so much fun to watch her enjoy the water. But we also had really hard wind that day. We had set up the tent, but I was so afraid it was going to blow away! So at one point Belinda and I had to sit by the poles and hold it down while we ate lunch. Even Morgan helped! But we couldn't take the tent down because it was saving us from the birds! Emma Kate was not happy with the seagulls that were hanging around so Morgan would chase all the birds away that dared to get too close! It was a crazy day on the sand!

The next day we did some shopping and then our afternoon beach time got rained out. When we hit the beach again we did some shell searching. The girls loved finding them! That night we ate at a new restaurant that was on the back bay. We got to watch the boats and then after dinner we fed the fish!

Our last day was quite the adventure. We went back to the beach for our final day. The sea weed had let up a bit and I was eager to actually enjoy the water. That was until I got in and felt a sharp pain in my foot. I had to get out of the water to see what had happened because the sea weed was so thick. When I got out all we could see was blood- lots and lots of blood. I knew I couldn't stop it so I had to hobble over to the life guard stand while Belinda tried to keep the girls from seeing my foot and freaking out. Well then the life guards kinda freaked out too when they couldn't get the bleeding to stop. So they had to call in the medical patrol. They told me it was a sting ray! And they wrapped my foot and put me in their truck to ride to my car. We went right by our tent so I had to lay down in the back so the girls couldn't see me! Grandma then took me to not one, but TWO urgent care places because the first one couldn't take my insurance! So a few x-rays, a hot foot bath, an anti-biotic and pain pill later I was ready to go! And while I was at the doctor, Super Belinda wrangled both girls, took down the tent and hauled all our beach stuff back up the boardwalk so Grandma could pick them up! It was crazy crazy crazy! And a first for me!
I know Morgan and I were worn out after our really long trip home. After really bad traffic on the bridge in Mobile, a complete and utter meltdown by Morgan in the bathroom stall in Buckatuuna and a long dinner break in Meredian we finally made it home...8 hours later! Whew! All in all it was a really fun week and I miss them already!

Celebrating Anna
Last weekend I went to Birmingham to celebrate Anna! We had a fun bachelorette party for her! It was a great weekend as we spent the day at the spa at Ross Bridge and lounged by the pool. After we showered Anna with some goodies for her honeymoon (you're welcome Wayne) we had a yummy dinner and just enjoyed our time together. We can't wait to see Anna as a bride in a few weeks!

Jackson Fun!
After the beach we drove straight to Jackson for the annual Kraft family reunion. This year Morgan was big enough to play in the water slide! We had a great time visiting with family. We don't get to see them often enough! But my favorite was watching Morgan play with the triplets. They had so much fun! Morgan never got the courage to actually go down the slide (it was kinda tall), but she had a blast anyway. On Sunday, we had lunch with the Maley family and Evans family. What a treat! It made me so happy to know that we can do this more often now that Kathryn is officially a Mississippi girl again!

Happy 4th of July!
After the stress of the last few days, I was really ready to get to the beach. It's amazing how therapeutic sand and the salt water can be! Our short trip was filled with family, friends, fireworks and food! We got to spend one day at the beach with the Gianola family and one with the Jones family. We watched the 4th of July fireworks from the beach- a first for me! They were great! They were shot from the Gulf Shores Pier and we watched them from Grandma's beach. We were a good distance away but could still see them well. It was perfect! The boys even got in two days of golf between the rain. We finished our trip with dinner at our favorite restaurant Tin Top! Oh beach, til we meet again...
The water was perfect for swimming!

**WARNING** The following story and pictures are not for the faint!
We had a tough few days in the Leddy house. Last Sunday we went to Florence to see Carrie in her new apartment. (Side note: I am so proud of Carrie. She started her new job at University of North Alabama and has a great set up for herself. She has worked hard and it is paying off!) As we were leaving her apartment for lunch, Morgan tripped and fell on the sidewalk. She was crying a bit, but I didn't think too much of the fall. It just didn't look that bad from where I was standing. Jeff picked her up and I noticed a little blood on her chin so we turned around to clean her up before we headed out again. After just a few seconds the bleeding stopped and Morgan wasn't crying anymore. I think she was just scared more than anything. She then gave me a big smile and said, "Thank you Mommy." And I freaked out. Her front tooth was shattered. It seems she caught herself with her tooth on the concrete. She wasn't upset at all so I tried to calm down. After many frantic phone calls we decided nothing could be done from Florence on a Sunday.
We headed home with my stomach in knots. Our dentist made a call and got an appointment with Dr. Johnson in Tupelo on Monday. After he looked at her and took some xrays, he told us the tooth would have to come out and he would see us on Tuesday to do it. I was a mess. I just didn't want Morgan to be scared or in pain anymore. Even though she didn't seem to be in either of those situations, I am a worrier and I can't help it.
On Tuesday we packed the car so we could head to the beach following her appointment. We got there and the nurse gave us Morgan's medicine. This was to sedate her and help her forget what was going on. We also had to sign a waiver saying they could restrain her if needed. I was a wreck. Especially when Morgan spit out part of her medicine and we were not able to give her any extra! But fortunately, it worked just fine! Morgan was all giggly and couldn't walk! It really was funny to watch her. They took her back and she was a champ. I was so proud. She did better than me! They didn't have to restrain her at all. She got a movie, some ear phones and the gas and she was good to go! The tooth came out in three pieces without any problems. It took just a few minutes.
After our ordeal, we got some ice cream and headed to the beach! When Morgan woke up she was in her happy place, all forgotten. She would tell you that she had a boo boo on her tooth and that the doctor fixed it. That night as we were brushing her teeth, I put her in front of the mirror to show her that it was gone. I thought this would be hard for her to understand but again I underestimated her. She looked at it and said, "It's all better!" And that was that.
I've always said that Morgan looks just like Carrie. Now she does even more! Except Carrie knocked out her four front teeth at the age of 3. She must be an overachiever!

Our Last Day in the Happiest Place on Earth
Our last day there was bright sunshine once again. The boys headed back to the golf course so we went to the pool again. Thursday was great! Aunt Sue and Uncle Don came to visit! It was so nice to see them and have Morgan play with them. Erin and Sarah came back to swim too. It was a wonderful, relaxing day. That night we had the best dinner at a nice Mexican place. That's an oxymoron, I know. But it was true! A great way to end our vacation!
