Anna and Wayne's Wedding

Last weekend my dear friend Anna got married!  It was a beautiful wedding in Jackson.  Anna and Wayne were so happy and we all had a great time.  It's always a bonus when stuff happens in Jackson so we can see Sam and Sissy.  Morgan was so excited to play with Pop and GaGa!  It was the perfect weekend of family and friends.

Drew met us later that night.  What a treat!
On Sunday we got to have lunch with the Maley and Evans families.  This is becoming a tradition that makes me very happy!  The kids did pretty well and we let them run around outside when we got done and got a quick photo.  This was the best of the bunch!  Ha!  With 3 babies I guess this is what we can expect, huh?

A quick side story of Morgan.  We had lunch out at the Renaissance.  As we were leaving I wanted to stop at  Fresh Market to grab some blueberry muffins to take home ( I'm not even a huge blueberry muffin fan.  They are just so good there!)  Morgan LOVES to go to the grocery store so she was definately up for the quick stop.  But when we walked inside she took one good look around and said, "This is not a real grocery store!"  She was so dissapointed!  I guess our little Kroger is all she ever wants in life.

An Aunt Carrie Fix

Morgan and I were having a bit of Aunt Carrie withdrawal so we had to pack up and head to Florence.  I love that she stayed so close after graduation!  Florence is only a 90 minute drive from Tupelo so we can go whenever we want!  We just went for a night while Jeff was out of town for work.  We met her there for lunch and then Aunt Carrie took us to see the Lions.  Morgan was so excited!  Last time we tried to see them they were inside because it was so hot.  But Leo and Una were there!  Morgan loved them and all the beautiful fountains across campus.  We spent the night in Carrie's apartment and headed home the next morning when she went to work.  Thanks for taking care of us Carrie!

On the way home Morgan decided that she had to use the bathroom.  And when a newly potty trained two year old says she has to go, you stop!  The problem is that we take the Natchez Trace to see Carrie.  And while it is a pretty drive, you have no restrooms along the way.  So we had to stop on the side of the road.  Luckily, there was a turn off with a scenic view of the Tennessee River.  It was a beautiful day and we even got a sweet photo op!

Looking for the Gold

Today was a big day... Morgan started gymnastics class at Flip Flop Gymnastics!  Everybody start saving your pennies now because we are headed to the Olympics in just 12 short years!  Morgan was so excited.  She has been wearing her new leotard around the house for a week now ready to go.  She was even willing to pose for me before we left!  She goes once a week for 40 minutes.  I got to watch her from the lobby and I laughed my whole way through.  She had a ton of fun and one day she might even be able to walk across the beam without falling off... today just wasn't that day!  She has a sweet little class and Ms. Misty was great with the girls.  This is going to be fun!

The Byars' Came to Town!

This weekend was a laid-back and great one! Kristin had some gymnastics kids to help in Starkville so they packed up and came to Tupelo for the weekend! Kristin was in the gym and I had to work all day Saturday so it was Daddy Day Care at our house! Thank goodness everyone survived. The boys then grilled out for us that night. They really did it all that day! So their reward was golf on Sunday which was followed by some serious ping pong in the garage. Kristin, Wade, Morgan and I went out to watch them for a bit and it was hilarious! Wade would totally crack up laughing when anyone would miss the ball. And then Morgan would chime in saying, "Daddy, you missed the ball." It was great to watch them with our peanut gallery! I'm so glad football season is nearby so we can see them more often...only two more weeks!
Sweet friends
Couldn't you just eat him up!

Fun at Work

This is my HealthWorks family at work!  We are all Captains of the Universe (yes, my official title).  Adam has just moved to Memphis so he had come back to visit.  It was a great surprise that we had to document.  It's rare we are all there at the same time!

One day...

These ladies set up camp by our tent one day.  We found them passed out cold.  Belinda and I were so impressed.  I want to be just like them when I grow up!!!!

Beachin' it with the Worleys!

Last week Morgan and I continued what has become a super fun tradition- beach time with the Worley girls!  Again, Grandma opened her home to house us four crazy girls and we were so thankful.  We had a great time getting to spend time on the beach, eat yummy food and get to just spend time together.  After our crazy summers, it was nice to catch up.

We headed down to the beach on our first day there and found the worst sea weed ever! It had been so long since I have seen that much sea weed in the water. There was a huge storm the night before that churned it all up. But the bright side was that there were huge waves! We brought the boogie board and Emma Kate had a blast! It was so much fun to watch her enjoy the water. But we also had really hard wind that day. We had set up the tent, but I was so afraid it was going to blow away! So at one point Belinda and I had to sit by the poles and hold it down while we ate lunch. Even Morgan helped!  But we couldn't take the tent down because it was saving us from the birds!  Emma Kate was not happy with the seagulls that were hanging around so Morgan would chase all the birds away that dared to get too close!  It was a crazy day on the sand!
 Sweet girls ready to play!

The next day we did some shopping and then our afternoon beach time got rained out.  When we hit the beach again we did some shell searching.  The girls loved finding them!  That night we ate at a new restaurant that was on the back bay.  We got to watch the boats and then after dinner we fed the fish!

Our last day was quite the adventure. We went back to the beach for our final day. The sea weed had let up a bit and I was eager to actually enjoy the water.  That was until I got in and felt a sharp pain in my foot.  I had to get out of the water to see what had happened because the sea weed was so thick.  When I got out all we could see was blood- lots and lots of blood.  I knew I couldn't stop it so I had to hobble over to the life guard stand while Belinda tried to keep the girls from seeing my foot and freaking out.  Well then the life guards kinda freaked out too when they couldn't get the bleeding to stop.  So they had to call in the medical patrol.  They told me it was a sting ray!  And they wrapped my foot and put me in their truck to ride to my car.  We went right by our tent so I had to lay down in the back so the girls couldn't see me!  Grandma then took me to not one, but TWO urgent care places because the first one couldn't take my insurance!  So a few x-rays, a hot foot bath, an anti-biotic and pain pill later I was ready to go!  And while I was at the doctor, Super Belinda wrangled both girls, took down the tent and hauled all our beach stuff back up the boardwalk so Grandma could pick them up!  It was crazy crazy crazy!  And a first for me!

I know Morgan and I were worn out after our really long trip home.  After really bad traffic on the bridge in Mobile, a complete and utter meltdown by Morgan in the bathroom stall in Buckatuuna and a long dinner break in Meredian we finally made it home...8 hours later!  Whew!  All in all it was a really fun week and I miss them already!
