A Golden Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we are thankful to spend our first as a family of four!  Even though Macie slept through the meal, I'm sure she loved it!  We were thankful that Sam, Sissy and Carrie celebrated one of my favorite days with us.  We started the day with the parade and Morgan actually sat and watched some of it this year.  She danced with me and the Rockettes, sang the Christmas songs and waved at Santa when he came.  But my favorite part was our conversation:

Morgan: "Mommy, what are we watching?"
Me: "It's the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade Morgan.  We watch it every year!"
Morgan: *long pause* "Why does Macie have a parade?"
You know what?  When we named Macie I never thought of that!  Clever girl.

Our meal was wonderful and I was REALLY thankful that Bobby fried our turkey for us...so yummy!  But I'm not going to lie, my favorite part of this year's Thanksgiving was watching our Dawgs bringing the Egg Bowl trophy back home to Starkville!  I am very thankful that Sam and Sissy pulled some Pop and GaGa time so Jeff and I could have a date night at the football game.  Boy was I glad I braved the cold to watch the win!  We couldn't ask for a better day!
 Happy Thanksgiving!

Wednesday Funday!

This week while we were waiting for everyone to get to town for Thanksgiving, the girls and I got a little stir crazy.  So we decided to get out and have some fun!  Morgan go to choose...so we decided to start our day at Shipley's.  Next up was HealthWorks! (my child loves my job) where Morgan was pumped to sing karaoke ("Party in the USA" over and over and over).  When Aunt Carrie made it to town we met her for lunch and rounded out our day with some shopping.  Fun times were had by all!
Doughnut holes for breakfast?  Yes please!

Time with My Princess

Last night Morgan and I had a date night!  We met Stacey, her girls and her mom for dinner and then went to Disney on Ice.  Every princess was there and we had so much fun!  It is always so much fun watching the Disney magic through Morgan's eyes.  Morgan and Claudia sang, danced and waved all the way through the program.  And Ella Claire got to see Cinderella too!  Morgan had so much fun she fell asleep in the car on the way home!

Straight Off the Mayflower...

Once again Morgan's sweet school had their Thanksgiving Program and this year she was a pilgrim!  And might I say, she was the cutest pilgrim ever.  They sang three songs and she did great!  Standing front and center she sang proudly.  We were so proud!

Back at HealthWorks!

This week we had a special treat at HealthWorks! when former first lady Laura Bush made a visit!  As a fundraising event for us she came to HealthWorks! for a field trip and then spoke at a dinner immediately following.  We were all so excited to meet her and she was just lovely.  Even with all the craziness with the secret service, it went perfectly.  And for me, it was great to be back with my work family again!
 With Mrs. Bush
With weatherman Matt...we have a mild obsession with him at HealthWorks!

Go Bulldogs!

Well. our Bulldogs might not be very good this year, but we still have a fun time in Starkville!  We wouldn't miss a tailgating chance and were excited that Mom, Dad and Carrie came to town too!  We had so much fun spending the day under the tent and visiting with friends.  When it started to get a little chilly, Mom took Macie back home so I could enjoy the game this time!  Thank you RoRo!  With another loss we came home...but we had fun!

Birthday Fun with RoRo

Last weekend Mom and Dad came to visit for the weekend so we celebrated Mom's birthday a few days early.  I'm not sure who loves a birthday more... RoRo or Morgan!

Getting Bigger Everyday

Macie is getting bigger and getting more of her personality everyday.  We are loving watching her grow up!  She really is the sweetest thing.  We are blessed to have had two calm and loving babies.  Now, she will get loud when she needs something!  But she only cries with a purpose.  She is two months now and is finally gaining weight steadily.  She smiles all the time and saves her biggest smiles for Morgan.  Morgan is such a great big sister and loves on Macie all the time.  So much so that we now have two girls with stuffy noses!  I wouldn't trade these days for anything!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Last weekend was Jeff's birthday and we had fun celebrating with him!  It was a laid back weekend which was just what he wanted for his birthday.  Saturday was full of football and playing outside so Sunday we packed up and headed to Florence to spend the afternoon with Carrie and Bobby.  Morgan was thrilled to take Macie on her first trip to Aunt Carrie's.  She told her, "Macie you're gonna love it...Aunt Carrie has lions!"  So we strolled on over to the lions as soon as we got there and had a treat.  They were playing!  Most times they are just sleeping but this time we got action!  I even convinced the girls for a little photo shoot on the pretty campus.  We then had a great birthday dinner and brought the girls home!  It was a great weekend and we loved celebrating how much we love him.  Happy Birthday Daddy!
