Fire Station Field Trip

This week Morgan's class took a field trip to the Fire Station and we got to go!  It was extra special because Jeff was still off from work and got to come too!  Sissy was with us this week so Macie stayed home with her to get some GaGa time!  We all walked the few blocks to the station and the firemen talked to the kids about fire safety and let them climb in the fire truck.  They were too cute!  It was fun to spend time with Morgan and her class and I'm glad we could share!

Daddy Date Night

Last Saturday Jeff and Morgan went to the State football game together.  To say Morgan was thrilled was an understatement!  She wore her gameday dress all day and kept asking when she could go to the "real" football game.  I guess she was tired of watching it on TV and was ready to go to the stadium.  I don't blame her!  She told her Daddy she wanted to see lots of fireworks (which they shoot off when the Bulldogs score) and Daddy said, "Me too!"  Good thing the Dawgs delivered a win and brought lots of fireworks!
Look how cute they are ready to cheer!

Our First Week...

Our first week home has been pretty good!  Despite the lack of sleep (funny how you forget about about those feedings every 3 hours) we have made it through!  Lord knows we could not have done this without my Mom.  She stayed with us for a few days and kept my house clean and kept all three of us fed.  This helped me to keep my sanity!  We had some visitors who we were so happy to see and got to be home and adjust.  And so we begin our life as a family of four!
After gymnastics Morgan wanted to show Macie Mickey Mouse.  She knew Macie would love it!
And then she lined up all her friends to join them!
This big sister is so happy...
 ...and loves Macie so much!
Anna, Wayne and baby Lily came to visit!  I was so happy to meet Lily.  What a sweet baby girl!  She and Macie are just a month apart.
My grandmother came to spend a night as well.  We were thrilled GG came to see us!
Who is rocking who? Note: GG is asleep and Macie is wide awake!

The Hester's stopped by as well!  Morgan and Meredith had such fun building towers and castles together!

Macie Elizabeth is Here!

So Friday the 13th is officially my lucky day... our sweet baby Macie came into the world!  We went to the hospital that morning - very early - to try to flip Macie since she was still breech.  After trying twice, we realized she wasn't going anywhere and I had to have a c section.  My labor and delivery was easy with Morgan so I was very nervous about the unknown of a c section.  But God took care of both me and Macie and we made it through.  Macie was born at 11:08am, was 8lbs 4oz (just like Morgan) and was 20" long.

She is just perfect!  We all love her so much but Morgan is by far the most proud of her baby sister!  Of course both sets of grandparents and Aunt Carrie were there to welcome our girl.  Who could keep them away?  We are so blessed and thankful that our family of four is now complete with our precious Macie.
Proud Daddy got to hold her first since I was knocked out!

Another Year Begins!

This week Morgan went back to school!  This year she is in the 3 year old preschool class and goes three days a week.  She loves her school and that thrills me to no end!  We are so thankful for the sweet school staff at First Methodist and I feel great leaving her in their loving and capable hands.  Her teachers this year, Mrs. Paula and Mrs. Mary Lin, are very kind and have a fun year in store for their class!

Normally I drop Morgan off in carpool but I wanted to walk her in on the first day just to take some pictures.  She wouldn't let me!  She told me she could walk to her classroom all by herself.  What a big girl!  But fortunately she gave in and let me come with her.  I told her it was just this once.  What am I going to do with her?  I was lucky to even get one picture!

Showering Macie

I am so thankful to have the sweetest friends here in Tupelo.  My group of girls threw me a wonderful shower for Macie.  We all had dinner at Kelly's house and everything was perfect!  I loved just being with these girls and getting to open such sweet things for baby Macie.

The next day I went to work for what I thought was a staff meeting...but surprise!  My HealthWorks! family threw me a baby shower too!  I was truly taken off guard.  We all had lunch and opened more gifts.  We even played a fun game and I lost right off the bat.  Apparently I'm not very good at those things!  I was blown away by what they all did for me and Macie.
