Morgan's Big News...

If you ask Morgan, she's ready to tell you, "I'm going to be a big sister!"  I'm not sure who is more excited in this house- Me, Jeff or Morgan.  She talks about her little sister all the time.  By the way, we don't know what we're having yet.  Morgan just really wants a little sister!  When I ask her what will happen if God gives us a brother, she simply won't talk about it.  She wants a sister!  We'll know in about a month if we have to fight that battle!

We told Morgan first, which is dangerous to tell a three year old before you are really ready to tell the world.  For the most part she did great!  We next told Carrie when she came for a short visit...or rather Morgan told her!  The news spread to GaGa and then our final big reveal in Murray.

We are all truly thankful for the blessing that God has given us in our family.  Morgan tells me all the time that we have a good family and that just melts my heart.  I totally agree!  And now we will have the chance to make it even better!  Our newest family member is due September 22 so we all have a long, hot summer ahead of us!

OVC Fun in Nashville

Even though Murray State didn't win the tournament this year, we still had a great time in Nashville!  Jeff and I left early on Friday to meet Dad, Carrie and Bobby for dinner before the semi final game.  After the Racer win, we headed downtown to celebrate!  After a few hours of singing at the Big Bang, we made our way back to the hotel at an hour that I had not seen in a long time.  And of course we couldn't sleep in...the boys had to play golf in the morning!

Saturday Carrie and I did some shopping while the boys played golf.  Mom was able to join us that afternoon too...just in time to see the Racers lose in the final.  While the game was a fun one to watch, we headed out to find some food to drown our pain about the loss.

After another late night, we did get to sleep in!  We had lunch with everyone and then headed home.  While we were playing in Nashville, GaGa and Morgan had tons of fun at home!

The Beginning of the End

It is finally official, the Radke's will be leaving Murray.  Mom and Dad recently announced that they will be retiring this summer and heading south to their house in Foley, AL.  We are so excited for them!  They have always planned for this and worked hard to achieve their goal.  It is very inspiring to watch them over the years and get to enjoy the fruit of their labor.  With that said, it will be a sad day when they pull away from Elm Street- the home Carrie and I have known for over 20 years.

Recently, Dad announced his last basketball game at Murray State.  Truly the end of an era.  It wasn't really full public knowledge until they announced it during a pre-game ceremony for Dad.  You really could hear the crowd gasp.  The entire game was emotional for all of us.  It was very nice to hear all the wonderful things everyone said to Mom and Dad that night.

The whole weekend was so much fun!  On Saturday, Dad's crazy brothers drove down from Wisconsin to be there!  I hadn't seen them in so long, it was great.  After the game we all went to the Apple and celebrated a great night!
