If you'll remember from a previous post, when my girl gets tired she just gives out. Another example showed itself today. After a fun-filled (and slight sleep deprived) weekend, Morgan was a little tired. I think we all were, but she gave up fighting the urge for a nap. This morning she was in her high chair eating a snack and watching Mickey Mouse. I was on the phone with Dad wishing him a happy birthday. It got quiet so I looked back and this is what I see:
This was at 11:00am, a full two hours before she normally takes her nap! She didn't even flinch when I picked her up to put her in the bed. But the best part of the story is yet to come... She did it again in the afternoon! Morgan is down to just one nap a day which she takes in the afternoon. So after her earlier nap we played and made a trip to the grocery store. She had a quick snack while I unloaded the groceries and fell asleep again!

Easter and Birthday All in One!
This weekend was truly one of the best! Carrie's birthday happened to fall on Easter this year with my Dad's following tomorrow. We decided to celebrate the big weekend together in Starkville and it was a blast. Saturday the boys played golf (big surprise) while Carrie had a brunch at her apartment. She very conveniently lives in the Cotton District- right where the arts festival was this weekend! We got to visit at her place and then walk around the festival. It was very hot, but very fun.
Saturday night the O'Nan's were wonderful enough to let us have a birthday cookout at their home. As always, we had big fun. We even had a few fierce games of croquet going.
I just love Easter Sunday. It's such a hopeful and happy day. I love a packed sanctuary with everyone in their new Easter duds. But my favorite is the music. I love the songs and the brass instruments brought in special for the service. We celebrated and then went to Restaurant Tyler for lunch. Carrie's birthday would have been even better if she wasn't so sick! What an awful day to feel awful! Get well soon birthday girl!

Super Bulldog Weekend
Morgan and I capped off our week at the beach with a stop in Starkville for Super Bulldog Weekend! We met Jeff there on Friday night and stayed with Michelle and Garett. Saturday the boys played golf so Morgan and I headed to the O'Nan's for breakfast. Morgan hung out with RoRo and Robin all day so the rest of us could go to the baseball game. This was great because my poor little fair-skinned child would have been miserable in the sun. I loved it! But I didn't love the game so we left early to prepare for the football scrimmage. We picked up Morgan (because she loves her some Mississippi State football) and headed to the stadium to cheer on our dawgs! After a great dinner, we headed home. We've had some fun-filled days, but boy was I glad to see my own bed!
Trip To LA
Last week Morgan and I headed down to Orange Beach & Foley, AL for some quality beach time! We stayed with GG in Orange Beach and Foley with RoRo and Grandpa. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time! Mom and Dad were there during Mom's spring break and they had some furniture delivered to their new house. We got to help break in the house as the first guests! The house is going to be perfect and I know they are both so excited for their new adventure. Can't wait for many more trips to come!

Playing in the Park
This weekend was one of those practically perfect ones. We had nothing to do. And I mean nothing. It was fabulous!! And the weather was out of a movie- just perfect. We played all weekend. On Saturday, we took Morgan to the park in the afternoon. I'm not sure who had more fun- Morgan or Jeff! Sunday brought more outside time as a family and tons of fun. I couldn't ask for anything more!
